My 5th version of the Lacy DK granny square, light and quick to whip up. After so many years of a tight stich it is nice to break the mold and use a hook at least 3 sizes larger than the called for tension of the light or DK garn. From vest to cowl to shrug to tube top, even drapes for short windows to a lamp shades slip covers, or a summer throw, the possibilities are endless... Notes

MethodStarting Circle in Dolphin Blue
Round One in Dolphin BlueWork around both tail and ring in order to pull tail at the end to cinch in before sewing in the tail.
Double crochet: Yarn over hook (Yoh) and draw up a loop in ring, Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook-twice = 1 dc made. Round Two in Orange RedWorking wrong side with 4 pairs of dc3 clusters and ch3 between the two of pair. Work Initially, around both tail and stitches of the rounds garn in order to semi sew in end tail.
Round Three Rose PinkWorking right side with 4 pairs of dc3 clusters/ch3 between the two of pair and 4 lots of dc3 clusters between each corner of clusters. Work Initially, around both tail and stitches of the rounds garn in order to semi sew in end tail.
Round Four SpearmintWorking wrong side with 4 pairs of dc3 clusters/ch3 between the two of pair and 8 lots of dc3 clusters between each corner of clusters. Work Initially, around both tail and stitches of the rounds garn in order to semi sew in end tail.
Round Five Royal BlueWorking right side with 4 pairs of dc3 clusters/ch3 between the two of pair and 12 lots of dc3 clusters between each corner of clusters. Work Initially, around both tail and stitches of the rounds garn in order to semi sew in end tail.
In ClosingThis colorway reminds me of a Maypole at summers Bealtaine but I also have a couple of more subdued pallets in mind, along with a sunny yellow one.
